Paul Anderson, 90, of Lafayette, died at 11:10 p.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at St. Elizabeth Central of Lafayette.
He was born July 2, 1920 in Lafayette to the late Otis Anderson Sr. and Lillian (Zink) Hicks.
He served in the United States Army Air Force during World War II.
His marriage was to Kathleen T. Kee on June 8, 1946 in Lafayette. She preceded him in death on December 29, 1981.
Paul owned his own fruit and vegetable market. He also worked at Payless supermarket in the dairy department, and later retired after working in the receiving department.
He enjoyed fishing, poker, sports, and was an avid Cubs fan.
Surviving is a daughter, Margaret Kiser of Lafayette, a son, Michael Anderson (wife: Pam) of Linden, and two sisters, Marie Jones of Lafayette and Cecilia Farmer of Crawfordsville.
Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2011 at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston. Services will be held there at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 with the Rev. Dr. R. Clayton Kendall officiating. Interment to follow at Pretty Prairie Cemetery in Battle Ground.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children Hospital.
