Life Legacy
Huston "Hoot" R. Agent, 71, of Kentland, died at 5:00 p.m. Sunday February 14, 2010 in Iroquois Memorial Hospital.
Born on May 28, 1938 in Marion, Kentucky, he was the son of the late John W. and Teedie Shahan Agent.
Mr. Agent was a self-employed carpenter working with Jack Bower of Kentland and Bob Murphy of Brook.
Surviving is his companion, Sharon Yates of Kentland; his children, Robin Whaley of Rensselaer and Pamela Upthegrove (husband: Ed) of DeMotte; and a brother, Leroy Agent (wife: Delores) of Morocco.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Bobby Gipson Jr., Kelcie Agent, Tabitha and Jonathon Upthegrove; and one great-granddaughter, Gretchen Gipson.
Preceding him in death with his parents are two infant brothers, a brother, and three sisters.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. (CST), Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland. Services there Friday, February 19, 2010 at 11 a.m. (CST). Interment to follow in Goodland Cemetery.
