Life Legacy
Bettie Jane Cobb, 85, of Earl Park, died at 11:15 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2010 in Iroquois Memorial Hospital.
She was born on May 20, 1924 in Earl Park to the late Ora and Pansie Doyle Nelson. She was a graduate of Raub High School and attended Indiana Business College. She formerly resided in Raub Community and wintered in North Fort Meyers, Florida.
Her marriage was to Bert Cobb on May 28, 1944 in Earl Park. He survives.
Mrs. Cobb was a member of the Raub United Methodist Church, where she was the organist, and a member of the Order of Eastern Star of Earl Park.
Surviving with her husband are her children, Nancy Wagoner (husband: Tom) of West Lafayette; Linda Mullen of Kennesaw, Georgia; Dave Cobb of Earl Park; Kevin Cobb (wife: Kathie) of Dacula, Georgia; and a brother, Blanchard Nelson of Lafayette.
Also surviving are her grandchildren, Amy and Elizabeth of Lafayette and Matthew, Mark and Jack all of Raleigh, NC.
Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. (CST) Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home in Kentland. Funeral services Monday, February 15, 2010 at 11 a.m. (CST) at Raub United Methodist Church. Rev. Jack Snell to officiate. Interment to follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Kentland. Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland is entrusted with care.
Preceding her in death is a brother, Robert Nelson.
