Life Legacy


Patrick M. Berry, 52, of Kentland, died at 8:22 p.m. on Monday, February 1, 2010.

Born July 22, 1957 in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Arnold and Barbara Ringle Berry. He was a 1975 graduate of Benton Central High School.

His marriage was to Patricia Turner on February 4, 1978. She preceded him in death on June 25, 2006.

Mr. Berry was a press operator at Viskase Corporation for 29 years and currently worked as a machinist at Heartland Machinery.

Pat coached softball for 9 years in the Kentland and Goodland area. He was a NASCAR and Colts football enthusiast.

Surviving are his daughters, Whitney Pepelea (husband: Matt) of Highland and Courtney Krug (husband: Travis) of Fowler; a brother, Ron Berry (wife: Laurie) of Fowler; and three sisters, Liz Brost (husband: Keith), Mary Ekola (husband: Joe) and Nancy Flook (husband: Mark) all of Fowler.

Also surviving is a grandchild, Payton.

Rosary service to be held at 2:45 p.m. (CST) Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Stitz-Clapper Funeral Home of Kentland with visitation to follow from 3-8 p.m. Funeral Mass Friday, February 5, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. (CST)/11:30 a.m. (EST) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fowler. Fr. Donald Gross to officiate. Interment to follow in Fairlawn Cemetery, Kentland.

Memorial donations may be made in memory of Patrick to a charity of donor's choice.
