Life Legacy
Kelly L. Stokes, 31, of West Lafayette, died unexpectedly at 6:39 a.m. Tuesday, January 19, 2010 in her home.
She was born December 21, 1978 in Lafayette to Larry A. and Sharon K. (Quandt) Stokes. They survive. She was a 1998 graduate of Frontier High School.
Kelly worked as a Customer Service Representative for PNC Bank in Lafayette and Charlotte, NC. She volunteered at the Senior Citizens Center and also worked part-time at Wiley Residence Hall at Purdue University.
She enjoyed gourmet cooking and volunteering helping senior citizens.
Surviving with her parents are two sisters, Kimberly Warren (husband: William) of Dawsonville, GA and Shelly Bisanz (husband: James) of Woodstock, GA; a brother, Bradley Stokes (wife: Barbara) of Fort Wayne; paternal grandmother, Glenna Stokes of Lafayette and maternal grandfather, John Papesh of Holiday, FL.
Kelly loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, Anna, Taylor, Chloe, Noah and Gabby; they brought her great joy.
Preceding her in death is her maternal grandmother, Violet Papesh; paternal grandfather, Dwight "Tiny" Stokes; and a niece, Ashley Fuller.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 22, 2010 at 7 p.m. at the Brookston Federated Church. Rev. Dr. Lelan D. McReynolds to officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Brookston Federated Church.
