Life Legacy
Esther J. Provo, 87, of Wolcott, died at 4:50 p.m. Friday, Feb. 19, 2010, at Woodbridge Health Campus in Logansport, where she had been a patient the past five years.
Born March 17, 1922, in Wolcott, she was the daughter of Edward and Rosenna Regnier Provo and had lived in Wolcott all her life. She graduated from Wolcott High School in 1940. She was never married.
She worked at the Indiana Ribbon Factory for several years and also for Tri-County School Corp. in the maintenance department. She also did housekeeping for different people in the Wolcott area.
She was a life member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Remington, where she was a member of the Rosary and Altar Society, and was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
Visitation from 10 a.m. until the Funeral Mass at noon Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Fr. Thomas E. Fox officiating. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Altar Society or church charities.
